Um, I would try but if i was busy with work and they were alone to much I would ask them what they want. If they wanted to try it maybe, but otherwise…they would stay with me. I couldnt go against their wishes.

I took care of my Mom for a long time but she was not old she was young but sick of cancer…. she could not even turn in bed we did everything for her and if she was alive I would have done much more…. and if she lived to her old age I would care for her like a queen…. I love her so much and she was the best mother…. you are right I dont understand why people do this…. there are no on better then your family…

No matter what. My mum has looked after me for 19 years so I think it would only be right. My Dad passed away when I so that’s made her job alot harder. She deserves to be looked after.

I’ve wondered this too. But, after taking everything they’ve done for me into consideration, I’ll most definitely take care of them when they reach the age of being incapable of taking care of themselves. Luckily, I was blessed with 3 other siblings who will also help me take care of them.

It’s the least we as children can do! My great grandmother lived to be 94, my grandmother parties more than I do…so, the way things are going…My parents will outlive me!

I would, if I could only see them again. My Mom died at 57 years old in 1978, of cancer
My Dad died at 82 in 1999, of cancer.
I’d give anything to care for them again.

If I actualy have a home that I can properly take care of her in (i.e Im not liveing 8 people to a 2 bedroom apartment like I am now)
I will take care of my mum…if not Im gonna try to get her in on of those “independent liveing” communitys cause I know mum would like that better than a home…

I will definitely take care of my mom when she gets old. I mean she has always taken care of me, and would still take care of me, even after I left the house, if I needed help, so it is the least I could do to take care of her.:)

my mum beat us all to the punch line and bought into a retirement home (which has a spa, internet lounge, restaurant, bar with damn cheap drinks lol) When the time (IF the time comes) they will move her into their nursing home with our permission. She loves it there, even tho I was against it at the time coz shes only 65, but most of her neighbours are her age, and still work part time. I told her she could come live with us..but she wanted things done HER way (which is typical of my mother lol)

Of course I will. I give them my eyes if they asked for them. Those who put their parents in seniors home are pathetic; they will be put in seniors home someday.

no that’s what my older sister or my younger brother is for. my sister doesn’t want kids so she will be free and my younger brother will be the 80 year old virgin (big mama’s boy) i on the other hand am having a baby and moving half way across the country to california with my fiance next year (baby is coming the 30th of this month) my brother will probably never move far away and my sister still lives about 3 hours away in the same state

If you open your eyes see yourself in a mirror, this structure has been existing here only because the parents gave birth to you. All your achievements and service could not have been possible with out them. It is the foremost duty of any child to take care pf the parents until they breathe their last and also later to keep the good traditions to be kept continued and any bad traits to be modified later forgetting any old hatred and anguish on some friends or relatives.
